                                           galare nivale saaketanagarini

                                           Urivaaru vara munulu
                                           upponguchu bhaavakulayye

                                           nelaku moodu vaana lakhilavidyala
                                           nerpu galigi dirghayuvu galigi

                                           chalamu garva rahitulu gaaleda
                                           saadhu thyagaraja vinuta raama!

In this excellent krithi in the equally awesome ragam Mukhari,Swami describes how Lord Rama ruled Ayodhya in a simply beautiful way, that is his way.

Swami says,"Can there be anyone(ruler) like you ? O Raama! Who knows the art of ruling so well?!

All your people and saints were full of happiness and prosperity. There were three rains in a month

All your people lived longer and healthy lives. They were well learned in all forms of arts and lores of learning and yet free from deceit ,pride and arrogance.

As we can see,all the above things are those we dream of today ,which are nowhere seen ,yes truly, not even in movies. We dream for such a ruler,we dream for such a kingdom. This kriti beautifully describes what is so called "Raamaraajyam"

Tyaagaraja...the legacy

                                     SriRaamaayanamaha

Hi all. The same ramabhakti and love for music which made it for Sri Tyagaraja to reach lord Rama and we all rasikas to follow the same path and make our lives divine has inspired me to take this opportunity to blog about the Saint Composer here .

In the posts to follow I would be posting excerpts from the life of the Saint Composer and also some marvelous pieces from his compositions. This effort of mine is to spread the 'Rama' awareness which was in every moment of the composer's life and to keep all the enthusiasts updated with the meaning ,beauty , actual stories and some remarkable events from the life of this Saint Composer.

Please find time to tag and post in this group any renditions available with you of the Saint Composer sung by great vidwans so that none of us misses them.

Thank you
JaiSriram
